This position will be responsible for management and oversight of all aspects of the product lifecycle for the MedsFile.com Physician Portal and Consumer Portal with primary focus on product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle.

In addition, this role will provide program support for some of the physician-focused lines of businesses. This will include one and/or more of the following responsibilities: championing product and customer requirements, defining the project vision, prioritization of user stories based on marketable functionality and business priority, and working closely with development, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.

The product manager’s job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals. The Strategic Program Office is responsible for product planning, portfolio, oversight and execution of MedsFile.com software products/programs throughout the software development lifecycle.

Principal Responsibilities:

Deliver product definition documents with prioritized features and corresponding justification

Deliver release definition documents

Provide primary release sponsorship and escalation for technical teams

Identify and mediate inter-product dependencies

Interact and coordination with other organizations (eg. Development, Legal and Compliance, Sales and Marketing, and others) to drive and manage product/program priorities.

Manage vendor relationships and certification programs related to functional needs.

Manage clinical compliance with respect to Federal and State regulatory needs and translate them into relevant product requirements.

Define the product strategy and roadmap.

Maintain a holistic prioritization process, including managing stakeholder relationships, managing business case and business value development, understanding ROI for new product development and defining general timeline needs.

On a regular basis, report status, risks, issues and related mitigation strategies and resolutions to Product Director. Proactively manage issues and risks to meet stakeholder expectations.

Manage product programs within the organization that require external stakeholder relationship management

Ensure alignment between strategic objectives of the organization and execution

Align customer focus to product strategy. Be an expert in the Physician market with respect to understanding the competition and customer needs

Partner with Marketing/Sales/Business Development organizations in pre-sales activity to develop creative technology solutions (in alignment with core competencies) that will enable potential customers to be successful

Strong ability to synthesize inputs from various sources and drive product management and Execution teams to efficiently and effectively reach the stated objectives.

Strong analytical skills; the ability to develop analytic measurement processes and methods and use them in decision making.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Strong presentation skills

Experience developing requirements specifications and use cases in the form of User Stories

Knowledge of the techniques and procedures of software and network support for multiple users

Demonstrated ability to work independently.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Finance, and/or (desirable) MBA

Minimum 2 years experience in HealthCare IT

Minimum 3-4 years experience within requirements management, project management or technical management

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on product development experience in an iterative lifecycle environment with a minimum of 1 year experience using Scrum methodologies

Analytical and conceptual thinker with a drive towards innovation

Ability to handle complexity and ambiguity

Ability to provide structure to complex problems

Desired:

Clinical expertise with focus on physician office workflows would be a plus.

Experience in a clearinghouse environment

Proficiency in Strategic planning and portfolio management tools

Familiarity with Financial Planning tools and processes
