MedsFile.com Founder, Mark Holland

MedsFile.com was founded in 2004 by then 23-year old, Mark Holland. He
came up with the idea for MedsFile.com by watching his parents and grandparents struggle with
managing their own personal medication and allergy lists.
Mark's elderly grandfather, Andrew, took many medications and supplements daily. Since
he could not remember the names and dosages of each drug, Mark's mother wrote
Andrew's medications, supplements, allergies, and insurance information on a piece of paper for him.
Late one night, Andrew ended up in the ER. The doctors and nurses immediately asked him what medications he was taking, and what his allergies were. He dug into his pocket for the medication and allergy list that Mark's mom wrote for him. It was not there. He had left it at home.
Therefore, the doctors would only give him limited treatment until they knew what he was taking and what his allergies were. Time that could have been spent giving him care was spent trying to track down Mark's mom.
Mark thought there had to be a better way to do this and created MedsFile.com! Mark hopes that with his service, nobody is given partial care when full care is an option.
