How do I log into my MedsFile.com account?

To log into an account, please follow the steps below:

  1. Click or type the following link into your browser: http://www.medsfile.com
  2. Enter in the account’s Login and PIN on the upper-right of the screen.

Who is responsible for updating the medical information in my MedsFile.com account?

The patient, or his or her designated caregivers, family members, and/or loved ones, are the only people who are responsible for a patient's MedsFile.com account, and they are the only people who can change or edit a MedsFile.com account.

To better serve you, we ask that each patient’s account is logged into at least once per week to update any medical, emergency contact, and billing information.

As a reminder, whenever you finish viewing or editing your MedsFile.com account, please click "Log Out" on the upper-right of your screen to ensure your account security.

How do I make changes to my MedsFile.com account?

Once you are logged into your account, each piece of information you add features an accompanying “edit” button.  Click the “edit” button to change this accompanying information.  Don’t forget the system will prompt you with your security question.  You must successfully answer this question to continue.  This information cannot be found on your plastic customer identification card.  The system will walk you through the easy steps of editing your information.

If you have no information in your account, choose the appropriate header, and click “Add.”  The system will walk you through the easy steps of adding your information.

How do I print off my personal medical file?

To print off a customer’s medical file, follow these three easy steps:

  1. Log into the chosen account.
  2. Click “Print Patient's Entire Medical File” identified in bold red letters on the upper-right of the screen to bring up the print window.
  3. Click “Print this page” underlined on the right, and then click “Ok” to send the list to a printer.  

Remember that the only identifying information that appears on the printout is the patient’s personal login number, and therefore the printout will not disclose your identity to unknown parties.

Is my medical and personal information kept private?  How safe is my MedsFile.com account?

We at MedsFile.com take your security and privacy very seriously.  Using state of the art Internet encryption combined with a two-level database security approach, MedsFile.com is the most secure medication file on the Internet.

When any designated party you choose has your Login and PIN in hand, they can VIEW and PRINT your entire medical file. But they cannot view or print your personal account information (i.e. your name, account profile, and billing information) without knowing the answer to your security question, which is not printed on any MedsFile.com material, nor on your Account Home page when you are logged in.

This system has uniquely been designed so your information remains anonymous in the hands of unauthorized parties should you lose your plastic identification card.  Neither the plastic identification card, the words on your main account screen, nor any printouts off the main account screen will feature ANY personally identifying information about you.  They will only refer to you by your login number.

Again, anyone with your Login and PIN can VIEW or PRINT your entire medical file, however they cannot EDIT any information, nor VIEW or EDIT your personal account information such as your name, account profile, and billing information.  To view and edit this information requires successfully completing a second level of security.  This involves answering a personal security question only the patient and designated loved ones and caregivers will know.  This question and answer will be chosen by the account administrator during the account signup process.  This answer will NOT be listed on the plastic customer identification card, or on the main account screen.  This unwritten information will only be known by the direct cardholder and his or her personal designees.

What if I know of someone who would benefit from a MedsFile.com account, but is unable to input his or her medical information themselves?  Do you offer an offline forms packet which can be completed by hand?

We make available an easy to follow Account Information Forms Packet that you may print out.  This packet is 6 pages long, and provides forms with ample empty space for all the information to be stored in a MedsFile.com account.  The patient can fill out this form by hand, and then give the packet to a computer-savvy caretaker, designated loved one, or family member who can be the administrator for the account.  Feel free to print off as many sheets as needed, as there is no additional charge for this service.

How do I access a MedsFile.com account over a mobile phone?

To log into an account over a mobile phone, point your phone's WAP Internet browser to mobile.medsfile.com

You will be able to login and instantly view your entire account, but will not be able to add or edit any information.

We strongly encourage you to practice accessing your MedsFile.com account from your cell phone in an everyday situation.

Please consult your phone's manual, or speak with your wireless provider for detailed instructions on how to access the Internet from your cell phone.

Is there a demo account I can log into to experience what MedsFile.com has to offer?

Yes, we have a demo account available for your use.  Feel free to log into this account by following the two easy steps below.  You will be able to view all the medical information in this account, as well as print this patient’s medical information.  Demonstrating the powerful security MedsFile.com offers, you will notice that you will not be able to edit any information in this account.

To log into the demo account, click "View Demo Account" in red on the sidebar to the right. For an authentic experience, you may use Login: 670 2570 354 and PIN: 7946 in the login box at the top.

Notice you cannot edit any entries or view any billing information without the answer to the security question.

My e-mail provider has a high spam filter, how do I prevent e-mails from MedsFile.com from getting lost in my Junk Mail folder?

To prevent e-mails sent by MedsFile.com from getting lost in your junk folder, simply add the domain "medsfile.com" to your safe senders list (sometimes called a white list). Your Internet Service Provider should be able to walk you through the steps to do so.

If your provider does not offer such list, simply be on the look out for e-mails from MedsFile.com in your junk mail folder and mark them as "not junk."
